Ashton wins 2014 RITA Award

The Romance Writers of America (RWA) has announced the winners of the 2014 RITA Awards.  

Among the winners was Australian author Leah Ashton, who picked up the award for Short Contemporary Romance for her novel Why Resist A Rebel? (Harlequin).

As previously reported by Books+Publishing, several Australian and NZ authors were selected as finalists across three categories: Historical Romance, Short Contemporary Romance and Paranormal Romance.

The RITA Awards recognise excellence in romance novels and novellas across nine categories. The awards were announced on 26 July as part of the RWA’s annual conference in Atlanta, US. To see the full list of winners, visit the RWA website here.
