TLC Books Manly for sale

TLC Books in the Brisbane bayside suburb of Manly is up for sale.

Bookstore owner Tanya Caunce has listed the store for sale on Gumtree with a negotiable price of $30,000, which includes furniture, fittings, website, Facebook and POS system, plus an additional cost for the store’s stock at its current value.

‘The bookstore is ideal for active hands-on owner operator(s) with a love of books, it is the perfect lifestyle business,’ said the store listing. ‘If you are prepared to take this business to the next level, there are new markets to explore and more can be done with the on-line store.’

The store, which opened in 2006, has ‘strong community support’ and a large social media following, including a 1600 member Facebook page, website and blog. The store is located next to a café in a small shopping centre and is 15km from any other independent bookstores.

Caunce is leaving the industry for health reasons.
