‘SRB’ announces new editor

The Sydney Review of Books (SRB) has appointed Catriona Menzies-Pike as its new editor.

Menzies-Pike is a former arts editor for the Conversation and managing editor of New Matilda. She has a PhD in English and has taught literature, film studies, cultural studies and journalism for many years.

She replaces founding editor James Ley, who is moving into the role of contributing editor.

SRB said in a statement: ‘With Catriona at the helm, Sydney Review of Books will be looking to diversify its content, publish more features and interviews, and foster new critical voices, while retaining its core commitment to long-form essays and criticism.’

The online literary journal was established in December 2012. For more information, visit the website here.
